Fun in the Sun

After our fun filled vacation with our families we came back to Milwaukee a week before Patrick had to start his rotations and enjoyed time together exploring Wisconsin. Here are a bunch of pictures from our adventures. Also sorry to my family the girls and I spend almost two weeks there, but did not get any pictures to document the time, we had a blast though and really enjoyed swimming and playing with the family.

On Wednesday we went to a lake close to our house with the Ostlers to let the girls enjoy the water and sand. As you can see Natalie also really enjoyed eating cherries while she warmed up.

Here is Rebecca's 3 month picture, can you believe 3 months has passed by, I can't. She is a delight to have in our family and a wonderful addition. Natalie loves her, sometimes too much. Rebecca is getting so big and is starting to really love to grab toys and things and tries to put them in her mouth. The thing I find in her mouth the most often right now is her clothes, she grabs them and pulls them up to her mouth, I guess I should get the poor girl out some more toys. She is a great sleeper and always happy. If she is crying it is usually my fault, either she is hungry or tired, those are really the only times she cries. Rebecca is growing up way too fast, and is changing everyday.

On Saturday we went to Strawberry Fest in Cedarburg. We had never been there before. The town is so beautiful and the festival was very fun to walk around. We found a new favorite Sprecher soda while we were there, Strawberry; Natalie loved it. Below is Natalie and Patrick building a bird house together, they had free crafts in the kids area, Natalie is so proud of her bird house and painted it pink and green before putting it in the back yard.

Here is Becca enjoying the shade while Natalie built her bird house. She is trying her hardest to get her outfit in her mouth, but onsies don't work as well as dresses.

This last picture is of Sunday morning, Natalie and I went outside to blow bubbles. We had a great time and Natalie loved chasing the bubbles. It had rained the night before and was still cloudy, which for some reason made the bubbles all rainbow colored and Natalie thought they looked so cool.

Now this week had been back to reality, with Patrick at school in orientation, tomorrow he actually goes to start his first rotation in family practice. Natalie keeps telling him he doesn't go to school anymore now he gets to go do doctor things and help people.

Also today is our 4 year anniversary, I can't believe we've already been married four years, time sure flies by. Last night Patrick and I celebrated by going to Summerfest. It was a blast to see all of the bands, but the people watching stole the show and made the whole evening enertaining. Thanks Ostlers for watching our girls so we could enjoy an evening out!

California

We had lots of fun in California and Utah. I know this is an extremely long post so I posted the best part first. We convinced Natalie to go on splash mountain. Actually, no convincing was needed because she had no idea what she was in for. Needless to say she would never consider going on splash mountain again. Using the same strategy I got her to go on Thunder Mountain with me, because she loves trains, I terrified her of that ride for life. She quickly caught on that any ride that had the name mountain in it, she would not go on it. Anyway, here is a video of her going down the big hill on splash mountain. The first part is black but watch until the end, her face is classic.

Alright, first things first. I flew to Utah for a day and while there we blessed Rebecca in my parent's ward. Here are some cute pictures of Becca and family as well.
She knows she is cute

Excuse Amy's squinting she has severly inflammed eyes.

The Leiter Family

This is Amy's Grandpa, Jim, he is one of the greatest guys. He has always played a prominent role in our lives and just adores our daughters; as you can tell.

The Esplin family

Disneyland:

The Leiters at Disneyland. I know, I know my brother is a Lakers fan. [Everywhere we walked in Disneyland there were laker fans, mostly Kobe fans. I wanted to vomit everywhere I went. I had no idea that so many people loved Kobe, the black mamba (what is that). I hate Kobe and I hate the lakers. Amy and I walked to get ice cream right after the Lakers won the title and everyone was honking and screaming. Our blood was just boiling, Amy and I were hoping so much that the lakers would lose and the Kobe jersys would disappear at Disneyland. That did not happen. It was so bad there that when in the car we happened on a radio station that was completely dedicated to songs about the lakers. We puked multiple times]

This is what Avery thinks of his dad's decision to like the lakers.

Disneyland was so fun, more fun then we ever thought it would be. I have gone to Disneyland many times, but going with our own kids was by far the most fun we have ever had. We cannot wait to go back. We had a 5 day pass to disneyland which worked out perfectly, we were able to go back to the hotel for naps each day. Amy and I could go back at night while the kids were sleeping, it really was just an awesome vacation. Since my mom, Amy and Rachelle did a day of service for a disneyland pass; we were able to turn the free passes in for a ton of "Fast passes" We had so many fast passes that many times at the end of the day we would start handing them out to other people to use. Thanks for your service.

Becca was perfect the whole time. She just smiled, ate and slept.

Natalie loved seeing all of the characters and would always give them an awkward hug as seen below.

Natalie and Lynsey. Sorry about my face in the background (probably looking at a Kobe fan).

Natalie loved "princess" alice (it took us a while to find a real princess so we told her alice was a princess. Pretty soon she will not trust us at all). Anyway, Alice was trying to get Natalie to wave to the Mad Hatter. Natalie was ready to bolt.

Everytime we go down to Disneyland we try to catch an Angel's game. It just so happened that the Angel's were playing the Brewers. Brewer's won.

Natalie and Avery at the baseball game.

We took an afternoon off of Disneyland and headed out to the beach. Natalie had so much fun she was running around like somebody gave her a redbull.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma

After Disneyland we went to Nicole and Justin's house in LA. We went to the beach, did some surfing and boogie boarding. We also went to the street where all the stars of famous people are in the side walk. We also went to a place where a bunch of stars have their hand and foot print in the ground. Natalie is jumping on Adam Sandler's pad.

One Month and other News

So, I was planning on uploading a lot more pictures, but you know how life goes sometimes, hopefully soon, but I figured I would go ahead and post these ones anyway.

This picture is from the other morning, Natalie woke up extra early and Patrick was already studying, so I put on a show for her while Rebecca and I went back to sleep. An hour later Rebecca woke up and I went down to see what damage Natalie had caused during her show time. I was a little worried, but I walked down the stairs and found her organizing her play doh, because she told me it was messy. Yes, she had also found fruit snacks and a granola bar for breakfast, but one day won't kill her right, she also benefited from a sane mom who had gotten an extra hour of sleep, it was great.

Here is a picture of Rebecca at one month, I can't believe how time flies. She now weighs an amazing 8 lbs 10 oz, yes she gained a whole ounce in a month, and is doing great. She goes to bed at 7 and last night slept 6 and a half hours straight, yeah! She is a very good baby and is smiling and cooing at us that makes it so fun.
Here is a picture of her before church today. I found this dress at Old Navy and had to get it because it matches her eyes exactly. Well, hopefully more updates soon!

New Arrival

We were blessed with a cute baby girl, Rebecca Sue, today at 1:05 p.m. She was born at 8lbs. 9 oz. and 20.75" long. Anyway, here are the pictures.

(Note: I am not sure if I am allowed to post pics of Amy, so probably more to come.)
